I first went to James for a chronic back problem that I'd had for 17 years. He certainly helped when my overworking caused bad flare-ups and, in addition, his care caused my back to become much stronger. An unexpected blessing is that, in the way he treats you as a whole person, his skills in acupuncture and Chinese herbs, as well as helping my back, over a couple of years brought about a definite rise in the level of my total health.

Back in 1999, I had several health problems. I don’t know what would have happened to me if I had not met James Madison! I had a chronic lung condition (had pneumonia several times in the past), high blood pressure, lack of energy, and many other issues. I am allergic to most commercial drugs, and I really don’t choose to deal with the typical side effects that follow long term conventional medical approaches. James worked patiently and diligently with me with both acupuncture and herbs, and my conditions gradually improved and stabilized. James is very thorough and conscientious, and always took the time to answer my questions. He thoroughly researched countless herbal combinations to most effectively deal with my varying conditions. When James moved to Montana in 2004, I was devastated, but he kindly recommended another local acupuncturist and my condition continues to improve. I still order my herbs from James by phone…..he’s just the best!

After watching my wife’s progress, I decided to start seeing James Madison and find out if acupuncture and custom herbs could help me with the pain in my hands (combination of arthritis and carpal tunnel). Slowly but surely, there was definite improvement. My work entails extensive time on the computer, and I was concerned I would not be able to continue my work until retirement. I’m confident now that I will be able to continue my line of work indefinitely---for as long as I choose. Based on my improvement, my wife and I decided to ask James to develop an herbal formula for our 8 year old Australian Shepherd, who suffered from arthritis, skin rashes and also from occasional seizures. Today (March 13) is his eleventh birthday, and he is still doing quite well compared to a few years ago.

I was a patient of James Madison for 10 years. I suffered from neck and shoulder pain due to automotive accidents. After years of chiropractic treatments I switched to acupuncture/massage. The acupuncture treatments restore my energy and got to the root of the injuries. Over the last several years I would see James every few months for massages. James had always provided the best treatments and is truly hard to replace.

I am a consultant and negotiator for U.S. companies in China and Taiwan. When I travel I see the best Chinese doctors and get great massages; however I always look forward to seeing James. James does massage as I want it, while incorporating hot packs and acupuncture. The treatments relieve pain and ease my stress. Now that he has moved I miss our friendship and receiving treatments.
